Legendary singer Nelly Furtado has returned to her dance music roots with her new single "Love Bites." For the track, she collaborated with hit producers Tove Lo and SG Lewis.
Furtado revealed she felt inspired to make a comeback after noticing DJs remixing her past hits in clubs and online. She realized people still love dancing and finding escapism through her music. “It’s the healthiest vice you can have, and I love the opportunity to write music that lets people escape more than anything.”
The vibrant music video depicts Furtado and Lo dancing ecstatically to "Love Bites" as if in a neon-lit club. Other scenes show the duo posing stylishly in a convertible driven by Lewis.
In the lead up to the single's release, the artists teased snippets across social media, building anticipation from fans. "Love Bites" hints at the dance-focused direction of Furtado's forthcoming material.
The track also marks Tove Lo's first new music since her layered album created with frequent collaborator Lewis.
