Audius has announced a significant new licensing agreement with ICE, further solidifying its position in the music industry. The multi-territory deal will see royalties distributed to over 330,000 rights holders globally for the use of their music on the Audius platform.
This latest agreement follows a series of successful partnerships Audius has forged throughout 2024. Previous deals with prominent music rights organizations, including Kobalt, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and GMR, have significantly expanded the platform's licensed music catalog.
ICE's VP of Licensing, Tim Rawlinson, commented on the partnership, stating that Audius offers a unique model that fosters strong artist-fan connections while simultaneously providing new revenue opportunities. He emphasized the importance of sustainable growth within evolving digital ecosystems.
The deal represents a substantial step forward for Audius, demonstrating its commitment to fair compensation for artists and its ongoing efforts to build a comprehensive and legally compliant music streaming service.
